Oh man. I just made an account on Ameba... 何だかドキドキしちゃうわ。 I'm thinking I might try writing a blog in Japanese so that I can keep practicing my Japanese. Because after all, watching 嵐's TV shows isn't exactly interactive practice.

Wellp, even if I can't find a bloody job I might as well try to keep my skills up, right? I'm going to run off now and comment on some blogs there (well really just サキモン's)

Hey you know how in my last post I mentioned that new single being released by the Hexagon folks, 泣いてもいいですか, right? Well after I bought my copy of the CD I ended up winning a spot in the Osaka 26-hour TV event tomorrow.

I'll be leaving for Osaka pretty soon; I decided to spend the whole weekend there. I'm unbelievably excited, even though I don't think the reality of the situation has really dawned on me yet.

Anyways if any of you can get the FNS 26-hour TV broadcast, watch tomorrow! They're going to broadcast footage from events around the country! Ahahahah how hilarious would it be if I ended up on Japanese national television?

What has me occupied right now is the idea that I could get tickets to see EXILE this winter. The problem? It would cost no less than 19,400 yen to get the ticket and transit. And we all know I'd go crazy with concert goods.

As much as I love them I'm not sure I can justify spending well over $200 for a concert, and yet this is the "PERFECT YEAR" which would be probably one of the best concerts ever.

argh.

Yahoo!Auctions does not like my credit card. I guess I won't be going to the concert after all.

Today I was flipping through my DVD book and I realized just how many shows I've downloaded that I have yet to watch. Add to that my soft spot for Tsumabuki Satoshi despite never having actually SEEN him in the lead role in anything (I'm awesome like that) and the fact that this Friday is the deadline for the topic of my Japanese paper, I've decided to get cracking on a few shows!

I'm about halfway through ランチの女王 (Lunch Queen) now. I think I saw the first episode like 2 years ago but never really followed up. To be honest I'm glad I waited because now I know who almost all of the stars are. I'm a total geek for awkward romance-y shows so I guess this one's right up my alley. Episode 6 kind of left me speechless :| but I'm hooked.

I think I'm going to watch Slow Dance for my paper (since I realized I never got ahold of all of Orange Days. I know, WTF). I'd completely forgotten that I had downloaded this show when it aired, but hi Tsumabuki and ex-PM Koizumi's hot son :D

There are about 452430 other shows I have that I probably won't bother watching (Primadam, PPOI, etc) but I guess now would be a good time to rec me some shows, lol.

Oh, COMPLETELY unrelated but last Thursday I received my honors cords in the mail! I guess I should be getting one for the Japanese nat'l honors society too; I really hope that one won't be all weird-colored (probably white or red right?) since my OSU ones are the oh-so-stylish-and-poorly-matched scarlet and gray. Either way though I really ought to get going on ordering my cap and gown >_> Augh I can't believe I'm actually going to be graduating in less than 2 months!

To those who commented on my previous post, thank you. We reported the attempt and everything's pretty much all right now, aside from being jumpy.

But here's the reason I'm posting this time:

Today and yesterday's high temperature, 90F (32ish C), broke the records.

The average highs for this time of year are in the upper 60's.

Thankfully it is supposed to cool down (for good?) by Wednesday, and that is a godsend to those like myself who did not bring shorts with them to college.
